Our story began with our grandfather, Hamdi Bolaca, who moved his family to Istanbul, Turkey from Prilep, Macedonia in the aftermath of the Balkan Wars. He was well-versed in food and agriculture trading and eventually established a wheat mill, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire us today.

Hamdi’s son Niyazi Bolaca, who played a significant role in expanding the family business and instilled in us a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for innovation. 1984

Grain Mill is established in Yenisehir, Türkiye.

In 1984, Hamdi Bolaca established a grain mill in Yenisehir, marking a significant step towards becoming a leading agribusiness company. 1988

Feed Mill is established in Yenisehir, Türkiye.

In 1988, Bolaca established its Feed Mill in Yenisehir, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards becoming a leading agribusiness company. With a focus on providing high-quality feed for livestock, this expansion enabled Bolaca to enhance its operations and support the growing demand for animal protein across the region.

1994

Oilseed Crushing Plant is established in Yenisehir, Türkiye.

In 1994, Bolaca established its first oilseed crushing plant in Yenisehir, Turkey, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history. With this new facility, Bolaca expanded its operations into oilseed processing, utilizing innovative extraction methods to produce high-quality products for the feed, food, and biofuel sectors. This move helped position Bolaca as a leading agribusiness company in the region, with a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability.

1995

Oilseed Crushing Plant is established in Harmanli, Bulgaria.

In 1995, Bolaca expanded its operations beyond Turkey by making its first international investment and establishing an oilseed crushing plant in Harmanli, Bulgaria. This move not only marked a significant milestone for the company but also reflected its commitment to growth and ambition to become a global leader in agribusiness.

2006   Biodiesel Plant is established in Yenisehir.

2011   Olive Oil Processing Plant is acquired in Mudanya.

2011   Cattle Farming operations begin at Kozdere.

2014   Oilseed Crushing Plant is established in Toprakocak.

2015   Venus Biscuits is established.

2016   Olive Pomace Processing Plant is established.

2020   Oilseed Crushing Plant is established in Lyubimets, Bulgaria.
